About Us
"A Quality Construction Experience" starts with a company culture that values relationships with customers and employees. SYS company culture promotes open and honest communication among all associates, encourages community involvement, and demands a safe working environment. We embody a family atmosphere that creates long-term happy employees. We strive to maintain the "small business" attitude with "big business" capabilities.
Safety
Safety is a job one on all projects. At SYS, we want to make sure that all of our associates return home safely to their families each day. We assure this by a safety culture that is embodied by all associates. We complete a drug screen all new associates prior to employment and randomly drug test all associates annually. Our safety director regularly visits job sites and provides on-the-job training as it relates to safety. We continuously promote a culture that rewards safe work balanced with accountability.
Continuing Education
All associates are required to attend 40 hours of continuing education per year. Associates are encouraged to attend courses that range from personal development to job specific training. In addition, we meet monthly to review “lessons learned” as a means to facilitate further learning.
Company Chaplin
SYS maintains a company Chaplin through Market Place Ministries. The Chaplin regularly visits job sites and discusses individual and company concerns with the associates. Frequently, the Chaplin will conduct off site counseling private sessions on a range of personal issues.
